Bargara Coastal Runners

Bargara Coastal Runners is a community running club based in Bargara on the beautiful Bundaberg coast of central Queensland. We welcome runners of all ages and abilities, from beginners taking their first steps to seasoned athletes chasing a PB or those training for half marathons, marathons or ultra events.

Our mission is to build a strong, inclusive running community that celebrates movement, friendship, and the stunning coastal environment we’re lucky to call home.

Visitors are welcome to join us for casual runs before joining our inclusive, friendly community-oriented running club.

We meet each week at:

  • Tuesday 6.00am — Meet at Nielson Park near the Surf Club, Bargara (first Tuesday each month, meet at Hummock Lookout carpark)
  • Thursday 5.30pm — Meet at the Turtle on the Esplanade, Bargara
  • Sunday 6.00am — Meet at the Turtle on the Esplanade, Bargara
  • Saturday 7.00am — Our members participate or volunteer at Bargara Parkrun

Regular group runs

Our runners support each each other with regular runs along Bargara's beaches, coastal paths, and trails. Weekly group runs are structured training sessions led by our coaches.

Races & Events

We organise and participate in local races, parkrun, and community events throughout the year. Our runners often travel to other regional events.

All abilities welcome

Whether you're a first-time runner or a marathon veteran, Bargara Coastal Runners is your club. We organise structured training programs for new runners, and welcome runners of all abilities.
